El Hospital Materno desarrolla el Proyecto de Órtesis Craneales

Está destinado a pacientes con traumatismo craneal internados en el Servicio de Pediatría.

El equipo que lleva a cabo el proyecto son los licenciados en Terapia Ocupacional que cumplen funciones en el servicio de Rehabilitación del nosocomio. Está destinado a pacientes con traumatismo craneal internados en el Servicio de Pediatría.

Este proyecto surgió a partir de la demanda del Servicio de Pediatría, que durante el año 2022, se registraron 338 casos de internaciones con diagnóstico de traumatismo y fractura de cráneo y cara.

Con el objetivo de brindar respuesta inmediata a los pacientes con traumatismos craneales.

Proveer el producto de apoyo a los niños y niñas con diagnóstico de traumatismo craneal y disminuir el tiempo de internación de los niños con la entrega inmediata de la órtesis.

Las órtesis son dispositivos adaptados externamente sobre cualquier región anatómica que modifican sus características estructurales o funcionales para mantener, mejorar o restaurar la función alterada de la zona del cuerpo que lo necesita.
